UCC28700: matlab based analysis tool

Part Number: UCC28700

I saw  2 file after a lot of clicking on any thing related to UCC28700 design/analysis. I downloaded the xl spread sheet file. But then just could not locate that area where they had the matlab tool as well.

Cld you pl put it under "tools/support" or somewhere quite obvious with UCC28700 chip?

    TI does not have a "Matlab" tool for UCC28700. We do have a Mathcad design tool, and maybe that is being confused with Matlab.

    The Mathcad design tool, along with the Excel design tool, can be found and downloaded from the "Tools & software" tab within the UCC28700 product folder on the TI website. Scroll down to near the bottom of the Tools & software folder and find the 2 design tool zip-files available.

    Thnx for the link to mathcad file.   Very helpful for the general case.

    Now a new topic: Why would one consider LM514 as only a "low side" driver?

    I understand the cliche. 

    But what if I set up so that I drive an upper switch as well with the reference node floating at the switched voltage. Of course the driver bias also floats.

    This will be your classic "high side" driver.

    Extending this further, if I create proper dead time, why can I not now switch a totem-pole structure using 2 LM514? Assuming of course congruent circuitry around to support all this.

    Furthermore, now, we can have a bipolar switched voltages with properly designed biases and signal coupling?

     Now, if TI have a upper-lower drivers independently configurable for +/- or bipolar voltages, I would of course value that a lot.But is there one?
