USB Interface Adapter using as GPIO

I recently used USB Interface Adapter as GPIO without connecting to any EVMs.

When I connected adapter to PC, the led is green which means the connection is ok. But when I used the (USB Interface Adapter GUI-v1.10) as below. At bottom of it, it shows adapter not attached. the question is that dose the adapter connect ok? How can I use the GPIO function to read and write?

  • The USB Interface Adapter was designed when WinXP was the primary OS available and I believe it hasn't been updated to work with Win7/10.

Most customers use the adapter in conjuntion with a specific TI device which typically has its own standalone GUI interface.

You can download the latest version of the Fusion Digital Power Designer, it includes a tool (I2C/SMbus/PMBus) which performs the same functionality as the USB Interface Adapter GUI 1.0.

After loading the SW, navigate from the Start --> All Programs --> Texas Instrumnets --> Fusion Digital Power Designer -->Tools --> SMBus & I2C & SAA Debug Tool
