BQ24075EVM: Using an e-load as a Battery

Hello all,

I just have one quick question, is the Bq24075 able to recognize an e-load as a battery?

I tried hooking it up to an e-load in CV mode just to see the changing in the charging currents but the EVM (PGOOD) doesn't even light up.

This leads to my second question, if no battery is acknoledged the IC won't even turn on? And by turn on I mean just the LED from PGOOD turning on.

Patrick,
When IN is present, the BQ24075 will recognize an e-load as a battery and the PG and CHG leds should light up. Ensure that you're not in standby mode and SYSOFF = LO.

Hello Sharafadeeen,

Thank you for your response. Actually the problem was way simpler, I put in a load at the output that was way to low for the system to work, the Ilim was not enough to keep the voltage regulation. I changed the physical load and now it works fine.
