Hello,
I have a medium sized wearable device that I need help selecting a battery charger IC for.
System current: 80mA (processor, radio, etc.). The output of the charging system will feed an LDO to drop the voltage down to 3.3V; unless there's a charger that has a built-in 100mA LDO.
Battery Type: Li-Poly, 400mAh, 3.7V nominal voltage. Charge Voltage 4.2V.
For ease of prototyping we're going to start with this battery.
What charger IC? Charge speed doesn't matter, as long as it's done within 8 hours.
The BQ24074 looked interesting, but I don't know if the voltages and currents work out, and if it's overkill for this simple application.
