TPS63060: failure mode of vin-vout path

Hi 

Our project phase is under parts selection and tps63060 is a candidate of motor driver power supply.

From fail-safe perspective, we would like to confirm failure mode of vin-vout path; open-mode or short-mode when this component is breakdown.

    It is not very clear to me, Do you need the open and short test for VIN and VOUT pin of the device?
    Could you share the block diagram (you can send it by private message )?

    I would like to know just what happen when this power ic is broken, especially on vin-vout path.
    if vin-vout paths of this ic is always on, battery voltage would be applied to load devices through the vin-vout path. I call this case short-mode failure. we would like to avoid this case because short-mode failure may cause heat issue from fail-safe point of view.
