BQ27750: I2C bus

Dear sir,

I want to use BQ27750 in my design. I notice the I2C bus of BQ27750 is 1.8V. Can I connect to the 3.3V bus directly? The other device on my board are all 3.3V interface.

I found there are 3.3K pull down resistor on SCL and SDA. The pullup resistor for I2C bus is 1~10K. How does the bus work? The bus may work in a middle level because of the pull up/down resistor.
