    Ted,

    These are legacy devices, NRND and support for them is limited? Is there any reason you aren't using newer devices? Additionally, the bq8030 is a hardware only for custom firmware, so you should already have the details from the the channel you obtained or purchased the device from.

    All the necessary description of the registers for the bq20845 and the bq2085 are contained in the data sheet.
