BQ24070: The Chip can not end charge when charge current under 1/10th Vset current.

Hi all,

As my question, The Chip can not end charge when charge current under 1/10th Vset current. But the charger function works well.

So, if I want to solve these problems,how can i check the schematic?

VBAT is 4.18V

Hi,

Section 8.4.3.9 of the datasheet states that "After charge termination, the bq2407x re-starts the charge once the voltage on the BAT pin falls below the V(RCH) threshold. This feature keeps the battery at full capacity at all times.". If you look at the datasheet, the stated V(RCH) voltage is Vo(BAT-REG) - 0.1V. Vo(BAT-REG) = 4.2V. This means that if the battery voltage falls below 4.1V, the IC starts recharging until the battery reaches the regulation voltage of 4.2V.

Thanks for you reply.I knew 8.4.3.9 in datasheet. In my issues the STAT1's LED and STAT2's LED never change. When I connect DPPM or TS to VSS,The LED works well and charge termination.
