Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
In the attached webench run, the ICThetaJA Effective used was 14 degC/W but the datasheet list the RthetaJA = 28.5degC/W which is significantly worse. Looking at other posts, it seems the ICThetaJA Effiective is derived from measured data from the part EVM but can you clarify why it is significantly better that what is listed in the datasheet and which value is the more appropriate value to use?
