TPS23753AEVM-001: substitution of flyback diode

When considering the circuit described in the SLVA433.pdf ( ), if we replace diode D3, flyback diode, from MBRS540T3 to ROHM RB080L-30TE25 (150uA reversed current) or Micro Commercial Components SK53A-L-TP, with a reverse current of 1mA @ V, what would be the consequences?

    Hi Lenio,

    With a higher reverse current, it will be dissipating more during the off time of the rectifying diode than with a lower reverse current so efficiency will decrease slightly. I would recommend to stick with the known tested diodes in our reference designs and EVMs which are 100-300uA.
