BQ27426: Chem ID is different between cell spec and GPCCHEM report

Hi all：

I did a battery learning cycle and setting condition as below：

Cell capacity：2980mAh/4.4V charge/3.0V dischage

step1. Charge voltage：4.4V, 0.5C and cut off current is 60mA(cell spec describes taper current is 58mA)

step2. Relax tow hours.

step3. 0.2C discharge, cut off voltage is 3.0VCA415872G_20170728-report.zip

step4. Relax 5 hours.

And I have updated data to GPCCHEM web then got report Chem ID：3230(4.35V). May I use this Chem ID or choice 3142(4.4V, it's as same as cell spec)? I confuse the Chem ID how to choice. Maybe my data is not good?

Hi Che,
The fact gpc returned 3230 doesn't mean that your data isn't good, it simply means 3230 is a closer match that 3142. However, as you can see from the report, 3230 has a max dod error of 4.61% which is within the 5% threshold for our ROM gauges. So that being said you can use 3142 just fine, especially as you will be charging the battery to 4.4V and not 4.35V
