BQ51222: Looking to increase charging range and spatial freedom.

I have been using a BQ51050B chip to as a wireless battery charger for our application, but we just need more range and spatial freedom than inductive charging allows. I see that the BQ51222 is a WPC 1.2 rectifier. It is my understanding that WPC 1.2 allows for resonant charging, which can achieve greater spatial freedom for charging. Can the BQ51222 do this?

If so, is it reasonable to pair the BQ51222 with the BQ25100 charger to charge a small battery?

    The bq51222 will not help. The only difference between bq51221 and bq51222 is an identification bit to ID as WPC 1.1 or 1.2.
    Also WPC 1.2 does not add Resonant Charging it has been delayed until later. It was planned for 1.2 and a few articles were written but it is delayed.
