TPS61029: In case of exceeding switch currrent

Part Number: TPS61029

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPS61029?

In case of exceeding switch currrent, which does the device operate as follows?
1. The device stops switching operation.
2. The device limits the current between 1.5A(Min) and 2.1A(Max).

If above content is "2", what will be the device stopping condition? Enable and Thermal shutdown?

We could not understand on the datasheet correctly.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • when the current limit is triggered, the output voltage will decrease . if the output voltage decrease to lower than input voltage. the device will stop switching and try to restart again.

what is your input/output condition? there may be better solution.
