BQ51025: Regarding SW Support For Customization

Part Number: BQ51025
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ501210, BQ500215, BQ500212A

We are trying to evaluate the TI's Wireless RX and TX for Extended Power profile solutions.

For this, we are checking on what is the SW interface control available to control  BQ51025 ( eg. sending custom packets over ASK, reading FSK packets, setting a current limit on output load, reading ISNS, VRect from the chip etc). Please suggest if we have documentation for this.

Also, is there a TX side <15W product which can be used with BQ51025.

  • The BQ51025 can operate in a 5W and 10W mode. The 5W mode is 5W Qi compliant. But 10W mode is a TI proprietary mode and will only operate with the bq501210 and bq500215. Unit can be Qi certified to 5W but not 15W.
The bq51025 will not support FSK communications from TX to RX.

For I2C data that can be downloaded see the bq500212A I2C document, below. Much of the above info is available to read out but write to is limited.
