DCR010505: Output droops upon startup

Part Number: DCR010505

Hello,

We are using the DCR010505 in four instances in our design. In three of the four instantiations, we see a droop on the output 5V. Any idea how/why this could be happening? Schematic snippet and power-up screen shot below. Thanks for any feedback!

  • Hi Mark:

I reviewed the  schematic . There are numerous questions concerning this application, with input variations and input on-off control Voltage. Contact me off line at tguerin@ti.com .

  • Hi Tom,

Thanks for contacting me offline. Just to update this forum -- as you suspected, this was an issue of the input voltage of the DCR010505 being starved out. We had a glitch in our power up control signal for the 24V-to-5V supply that feeds the DCR's, which was causing the supply to get spuriously turned on and off before the proper signal turns it on for good. We fixed that and now our DCR010505 operation is good. Thanks!!
