TPS53315: Requirement of resistor between VBST and LL pins

Part Number: TPS53315

Hi,

In application information section of TPS53315 datasheet, a zero ohm resistor connected between VBST and LL pins in series with 0.1uF capacitor.

But i could not find any such recommendation in the datasheet. So Please let me know the reason for placing this resistor.

Thanks & Regards,

Madhu.

  • You can add a small resistor in series with the BOOST capacitor to slow down the rising edge of the SW (LL) node waveform.  It is usually around 10 ohm or so.  In this case a 0 ohm resistor is used as a placeholder for it.  If you don't want to include it in your design, you can delete it and connect 0.1 uF directly between LL and VBST.
