UCC28950: DUTY CYCLE IN TI TOPOLOGIES GUIDE AN IN SLUA560C

Part Number: UCC28950

Hello

please guide me through some questions in the concepts used in SLUA560C.

1. what is Dmax ? is it switch duty cycle? or of waveform we get across common cathode and midpoint of transformer?

2. Ripple frequency on primary and secondary different or same/

  • Hello Samrat

Dmax is the maximum value of the ratio of the time for which the system is transferring energy into the secondary to the total cycle time. That is, the time for which there is a voltage across the transformer primary (Ton) to the total switching cycle time T.

The ripple frequency on the secondary is at twice the switching frequency of the transformer primary.

    Regards
