WEBENCH® Tools/TPS65100-Q1: simulation demand

Part Number: TPS65100-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, TPS65100

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi there:

We'd like to co-work with customer for an design review start with our TPS65100-Q1.

But customer will need to simulate the performance by program firstly.

I'd like to check whether could have a simulation by Webench Tool or could find the source to simulate in our TINA-TI?

Thanks again!

  • Hello Kay,

Thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately there is neither a spice- model nor a webench- model available of this device. I would suggest to order an EVM and evaluate the performance in the lab.

If you have any questions related to the performance of the device, let us know.

    Thank you.
    Best Regards.
    Ilona
  • Hi Ilona:

Thanks again! We'd like to find more useful tool to simulate the schematic (TPS65100-Q1) for customer design.

Currently our customer use TPS65100 as 1st priority back-up solution for currently project (competitor: ROHM RX series)

But their end customer require the fully simulation (include transient/load  response of the schematic) .

Do you have the way or suggestion for that kind of schematic simulation?

  • Hello Kay,

As we do not have any simulation tool for this device, it might be almost impossible to prepare something for the customer, but I would want to understand at least which tool or simulation your customer is using.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
  • Hi Brigitte:

    Thanks!

currently known, customer design using PADS logic this one.
  • Hello Kay,

I know PADS as a CAD software. What is the customer simulating with PADS logic? Is it possible that you customer needs the CAD data? If yes, please clarify exactly which data your customer needs, possibly we are able to deliver something, but I need to understand in detail what is needed.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
  • Hi Brigitte:

customer will provide the spec of worst case (include Voltage, current, start-up , transient response, similar with Webench report)
simulation for each component (include TPS65100-Q1, MOSFET, diode, Res, Cap )

But I believe if we could have TPS65100-Q1 firstly, will help us to get more confidence in customer side review.

    Thanks again.
  • Hello Kay,

We do not have a spice simulation tool for this device and we will not be able to deliver one, therefore we recommend to check out the system on the EVM.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
