EV2400: Does not send any signal

We have a EV2400 with firmware v018. It is connected to a board that has a bq78350 controller through the I2C port. We installed the EV2400_support_Components_20110524.

The device is detected by Windows. The three LEDs are on. We tried to communicate with it using the bq769X0 Evaluation Software but we got the "unable to detect a connected device" message.

We put an oscilloscope on the clock pin of the EV2400 and could not detect any signal when the Evaluation Software starts or when sending the Read Data command. It seems the EV2400 is not sending anything through the I2C port

We are running the app on a Windows 10 PC

Is there anyway to check if the EV2400 is working correctly?

You can try using bqStudio to see whether the EV2400 is working. It will show up in the top section of the Dashboard if it communicates. You can then move to the bq769X0 Evaluation Software. Make sure that you have the cable connected to the I2C ports on the EV2400 and the EVM. Be sure to remove the GG_SCL and GG_SDA jumpers on the EVM to isolate the bq78350 from the I2C bus or that device will interfere with communication.

Thanks for all suggestions.

We were able to communicate with the board that has a bq78350 controller without the EV2400, so we are not going to use it for now
