TPS53679: About VOUT_COMMAND resister.

Part Number: TPS53679

Hi all,

I don't understand about VOUT_COMMAND resister.
What is it? please tell me the function.

The resister is set default(1.7V).
So I  tried changing the resister value by GUI, however I couldn't change the value.

I attached error message in the following.

10:26:16.475: TPS53679 @ 88d: VOUT_COMMAND [0x21,Rail #1]: wrote 1.720 V [0x007B] to the device and it was ACKed,
but a write verification read back returned 1.700 V [0x0079]

Best Regards,
Sho

  • Hi Sho,

Are you trying to set VOUT through the PMBus or SVID bus? There's a separate register that tells the part which bus to listen to for VOUT changes and it looks like the SVID bus is selected.

In the static configuration tab in the GUI there's the SVID_PMBUS_SEL register under Voltage Limits. Make sure it's set to 01b so the part listens to PMBus commands. See my picture below.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Carmen
