Part Number: BQ25895

hi all

this is the schematic

Vbus=5V and SYS pin is power to MCU

customer find the problem. CE=low CHG_CONFIG=1 bq25895 can not charge to battery. and Iin=20mA

so I ask customer to do the some test

SYS pin is open load and No battery

Vin=5V he find VSYS=3.667 and VBAT=0.15V

and then insert battery, VSYS=3.870 VBAT=3.806 Iin=10mA

this is the SW wareform

  • The PMID is the input of the buck converter. The critical input PMID cap is missing - suggest to have 8.2uF. The VBAT = 0.15V with no battery means the battery FET Q4 is turned off and the charging is disabled. What are the NTC network connected to and the TS pin voltage? Is there any fault condition?
