Dear All,
one of my customer working on PMP40025 reference design, instead of UCC28730 primary controller - we suggested to replace with UCC28710 for cost reduction.
Now they are testing the converter with UCC28710. The converter performance is similar to UCC28730, But the voltage sense and current sense limits of UCC28710 are slightly different, Constant current control limit is varying, say example using UCC28730 in design, beyond 1A O/P Current it is going to constant current mode whereas it is not happening in case of UCC28710 device.
They also observe a very small dip in effciency, Please suggest whether is it due to controller's internal behaviour.
We also would like to have some consultation in altering the design based on UCC28710. We also looking for possibilities to altering the values of Input side filter & output side filter to reduce the cost. Currently 47uV Cap is used.
