TPS63031: Does power save mode affect quiescent current?

I have a board with the TPS63031 with power mode disabled, and with no output load I am measuring around 3 mA at its input.

Does the power save mode being disabled affect this current or should it be around 30-40 uA as stated on the datasheet page 5?

The measured value is expected. When power save mode disabled, the device operates in forced PWM mode (always switching) So more switching losses thus more power consumption.

Quiescent current is the current consumption of the device in a non switching state, here is an appnote explaining in detail what it is and how to measure it: www.ti.com/.../slyt412.pdf
