TPS65132: TPS65132 register set questions

Part Number: TPS65132

For TPS65132, I have one question to set the Vpos register bit5, to be compatible with other competitors, customer want to set 1 to bit5 of Reg 0x00, which is reserved and our datasheet suggest set 0.

So if we write 1 to this bit5, is there any problems?

Since bit7~5 is only read, so if write 1 to this bit, is it still keep 0 for those bit?

Thanks.

  • Hello John Liu59,

I would expect that if you write 1 to that bit it will be ignored as they are configured as read registers. Could you explain how is this different with the competitors? If competitors use 6-bit for configuration of the VPOS voltage I expect that the voltages will be different if you only cut out the 6t bit?

    Best Regards.
    Ilona
  • Thanks Ilona, the competitor is SM5109, they suggest customer to set 1 for bit5, the other bit is compatible with our parts.
    Thanks.
