TPS4H160-Q1: TPS4h160 Current limit accuracy for current below 500 mA

Hi, I am having hard time trying to find what is the current limitation accuracy of the TPS4h160-q1 when the current need to be limited to value below 500 mA (like 200 mA). How can I get an estimate of it ?

Is there any component similar to it but which have lower current limitation acceptance (so the accuracy is better) ?

Hi Yannick,

The TPS4H160-Q1 specs a current limit accuracy of +/-20% for ILOAD = 250mA. Is this a reasonable estimate for your application?

Thanks for this answer, does this accurary depends on the Vvs ? In the datasheet, it is written that the 20% accuracy is for Vvs = 13.5 V, does a lower/higher Vvs affects this estimate ?

Just to be sure, tje +/-20% accuracy stands for a limitation between 255 mA and 245 mA, right ?

Hi Yannick,

In general, the current limit accuracy does not depend on the Vvs voltage, so a different voltage is not expected to have an effect.

The +/-20% accuracy is guaranteed for load currents 250mA and higher. The current limit accuracy below 250mA may have a higher variation.
