Hi everyone:
Could you please tell me how to create a golden file for bq2084? Could you please provide the detail step to me? Is there have any document for it?
Thanks a lot.

Suren,
bq2084 doesn't use the "golden file" concept exactly.
1. Determine if you will be using fixed EDV or compensated EDV levels (see datasheet). Fixed is simple, compensated requires extensive cell characterization. We can help you with it, or you can do it yourself using the mathcad tool. See the Tools and Software section here:http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/bq2084-v133.html#applicationnotes. Basically, this allows you to find the 7-10 magic numbers that describe your cells.
2. Determine what hardware/software you will use for mass production. Mass production generally involves calibration and programming your dataflash configuration. There are three possibilities - (a) buy our SBTS for $12K, (b)build your own system based on the calibration app note, (c) use the EVSW.
If this is a new design, I would highly recommend you use our newest CEDV gauge - the bq3060. It supports the "golden file" concept and has bqMTester support for inexpensive mass production.

Doug
Hi Doug.
Since you mentioned the SBTS, I thought I would jump in and ask you whjere I can find the documentation. I am helping a chap in my space and I would like to review the documentation for myself.
I really did look for it on my own.

Attached is the SBTS manual.
Please note that the document is provided AS-IS. We no longer support SBTS.
