Hello, TI Experts,

For battery management system,I have chosen Bq34z100 for 16 cells in series. But I don't know which protection IC I should choose~

I have seen Bq76940 on TI web,but the max Number of Series Cells of it is 15; and the Bq76pl455a is too expensive~

Can you give me some advice on the protection design?

Hi, I still don't understand how to design it~
You mean Bq34z100+Bq76940+Bq76200? But how about the 16th cell ? As Bq76940 can protect less than 15 cells~

And Bq76200 is a High-Side NFET Driver,It can make a low-side battery-protection system to be implemented into a high-side protection system,So what kind of situation should I use the Bq76200?

Hi Onyx,Don't I need a balance IC to protect the battery's OCD/SCD/OV/UV?

for cell balancing, i would recommend considering the bq76pl536A which is stackable since the bq76PL455A might be too expensive.
