Hi,
We got a question from customer about LMR14030-Q1.
Could you help us?
[Question]
How much is the swing frequency of spread spectrum under the following condition? They found about 8.3kHz Vout ripple. They are considering this ripple is related swing frequency. Do you think this phenomenon is related swing frequency?
Vin=12V
Vout=5V
Iout=2.4A
fsw=2.2MHz
Best Regards,
tateo
Yes, the spread spectrum time Tss=8*32/f, if the f=2.2MHz, the swing frequency of spread spectrum is nearly 8.6KHz.
Hi, Thank you for your reply. They should estimate the output voltage ripple. So they would like to make sure the effects of swing frequency on the output voltage ripple. How much is the output voltage ripple which be occurred by swing frequency?
Best Regards,
tateo
Hi Tateo,
On your screen shot, the grey waveform has ripple with period of 12.5us or the freq is about 8KHz, this is caused by freq dithering.you think it as the yellow ripple ride on the 8KHz modulation ripple.
Belowis out testing on Fsw=500KHz, it has similar result as yours.
Hi, Thank you for your reply. I can't see your waveform. Please attach your waveform again?
