Hi team,

My customer tried to enable LDO1 of TPS65919 0x3C OTP version.

By writing 0x05 or 0x01 to 0x150h register, the LDO still has no output. when doing readback, the 0x150h register is still 0x01, status bit showed it's OFF.

so the LDO1 can't be enabled by set MODE_ACTIVE.

is there any other step to be taken to enable LDO1?

Hi Mike,

Please also check the LDO1_VOLTAGE register. If this is set to 0, then LDO1 will stay off, and its status bits will report 0.
The LDO1_CTRL.MODE_ACTIVE bit and the LDO1_VOLTAGE register both need to be set before the LDO will turn on.

Hi Karl,

I set the Vsel to 3.3V already.

Is it possible the device is in sleep mode?

The Status bit is off, which makes me think the internal logic is making the device off.

Is there any other register or pins need to be set?

Hi Mike,

It's possible it's in sleep mode, but then setting LDO1_CTRL = 0x5 should turn on the PMIC in both ACTIVE and SLEEP mode. I understood that you tried setting LDO1_CTRL=0x05, and it still didn't work. So maybe this isn't the issue.

Please double check the LDO1 has input voltage. If not, it won't be able to turn on.
You can also check the LDO_SHORT_STATUS1 register. If this reads 0x01 (LDO1 short), then LDO1 won't turn on until this register is cleared.
