TPS40170: TPS40170 audible noise at OCP and SCP

Hi,

our customer is evaluating TPS40170 EVM board for open frame D/D module with 60W output (24Vin , Output 12V / 5A).

However our customer audible noise while TPS40170 in OCP and SCP mode, would you suggest how to avoid or improve the audible noise? thanks.

    Page 15 of the datasheet shows how the OCP and SCP work with this part. You can try different SCP settings to see the noise goes away or not. But it is not recommended to design the part to operate in OCP or SCP condition. They are there only for fault protection purpose.
