BQ40Z50EVM-561: Inquiry on EVM Fault Protection

Hi Team,

I have a customer who is using our BQ40Z50EVM-561 in their test system in production as a replacement for our previous BQ20x90EVM-001 EVM. They are having some concern with the BQ40Z50EVM-561 fault protection sensitivity and was wondering if there is any way to disable this. Below are their requirements:

Our application just needs the following:

1)      Voltage() = sum of the 4 cell voltages (no protection should trigger if total is 6.5V – 18V)

2)      Current() = current flowing thru the Rsense resistor of EVM (positive charging, negative discharging)

3)      ChargingVoltage() = 16800mV always

4)      ChargingCurrent() = 7200mA always

5)      BatteryStatus() = 0x80 (128) always

6)      BatteryMode() = 0x6001 (24577) always

Please help advise.
