BQ34Z100-G1: Is there plans for the development of a bq34z100evm that uses the newer -g1 chip?

Hi I'm interested in testing the newer bq34z100-g1 to monitor lead acid battery performance. I don't see any evaluation modules available for this and the only one available that I can find is the bq34z110evm which are discontinued. Any development plans for this newer chip?

Hi Nick,
The existing EVM for the bq34z100 is all you need for evaluation of the device. You just neeed to program the firmware device on the evm. www.ti.com/.../sluc580

pls see user guide on programming the device firmware

Thanks for the reply Onyx. I didn't think that the bq34z100evm would be appropriate since the documentation states that "This evaluation module (bq34z100EVM) is a complete evaluation system for the bq34z100 wide range fuel gauge for lithium ion chemistries" and the older bq34z110 chip was used for lead acid. Reading the User Guide a bit further, I realize my mistake.
