LMR14203: Shutdown pin

Hello,

I have a design with two LMR41203 switchers. Per the pin descriptions on page 2 of the datasheet, I decided to leave the SHDN down floating. However, the switchers are not turning on.

If I apply VIN to the pin, they both turn on perfectly and operate nominally. Can you please explain why leaving  it open might be problem?

    Hello Rohit,
    You are correct.
    Unfortunately it appears that there is an error in device datasheet regarding pin description on page 2.
    It should have stated that if the function is not used it should be tied to VIN and not left open/floating.
    This is actually stated on page 8 (section "Shutdown Operation") of datasheet, and by accident not clearly stated on page2.
