Calibration of a sealed bq20z60

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQMTESTER

Hi

I've a problem to calibrate a bq20z60 chip which is already sealed.

I use the BQMTESTER and an unsealed chip calibration works fine.

If I attache cells on this PMC board and do the calibration with the calibration section in the bqEvaluation software I must unseal the chip before each step of calibration(offset, voltage, temp...).

Can anybody help me?

Thanks

Dietmar

  • bqEASY only works on unsealed devices. So yes, you need to manually unseal the device before calibration. There is no need to unseal for each calibration items. The device will go back to seal mode if it is reset.

BTW, the actual calibration tool is EVSW, the calibration section in bqEASY only provides the direction to user how to calibrate the device.
