Compiler/BQ78350-R1: How to debug the BQ78350-R1 and BQ76930

Part Number: BQ78350-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, BQ76930, , EV2400

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

I designed a board, using BQ78350-R1 and BQ76930 to manage 8 sets of batteries, and the battery uses a lithium titanate battery. Board connected to EV2400, using BQStudio tool to debug. Because the battery is not conventional, the default configuration of the chip and the measured values are wrong. some configuration need to be modified. Is there a detailed chip debugging document? For example, what registers need to be modified first, then voltage, current calibration, battery capacity, self learning, GPC.
After I changed a few parameters, the voltage and current are measured correctly. But the percentage of the remaining capacity is shown wrong (display 0% for full battery). I don't know how to solve.

  • Hi

    You will need to configure the CEDV coefficients on your gauge after running a set of experiments and using our tool to evaluate your log files.
    Pls see details on the experiments to run and the procedure to get the coefficients in the link below.

    This should get your set up working considerably well.

    If further adjustments are needed, reference the technical reference manual of the device in the link below'
