LMR64010: Getting 12V/300mA out of 5V?

Hi,

we have designed a converter using the LMR64010 but only get approx. 220 mA but not 300 mA.

If we go below 60 Ohm load, the output voltage starts to break down. For example:

59 Ohm 11.8V 200mA
55 Ohm 11.5V 209mA
47 Ohm 10.8V 229mA
31 Ohm 8.5V 274mA

We have followed the layout recommendations in the data sheet.

Diode: MBR0520

Inductor: ABRACON ASPI-2010HC-100M-T

Any advice is welcome?

Its sounds the peak current limit is hit. What is your input and output voltage? Can you change to an inductor with higher inductance and see if there is any improvement?

Input voltage: 5V (please see subject)

Output voltage: see my table - it should be 12 V but breaks down too much (I would accept -5%) before 300mA can be drawn.

Datasheet /reference schematics says that it can do that.
