BQ78350-R1: Shut Down and Sleep via SMBus commands

Part Number: BQ78350-R1

Hi engineers,

I'm currently working with the mentioned design and just have some questions to the sleep and shipment modes.

Instead of fitting all the requirements for a shipment mode / sleep mode mentioned in the family user guide, is it possible to get into these modes via a simple smbus command?

E.g. in my situation the host device, which is powered by the batteries, is in need to control the battery situation and i cannot allow the battery to decide the modes (at least not every time). Therefore a command would be helpful, which i can send to get into the low power modes (that means all the requirements to get into the sleep mode are fullfilled but the power down is initiated by a smbus command).

Is something like this possible?

Thanks in advance, regards

Marc
