LM74610-Q1: Using an external signal to control the N-Mosfet in parallel with LM74610

Part Number: LM74610-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5060

Fellows,

We are working on a new design which applies a LM74610-Q1 to protect against reverse polarity. It is an automotive 24V, up to ~8Amp circuit.

Would it be possible to include a second control line to the same N-Mosfet, to turn it off by means of a logic signal? In other words, we need our MCU to "turn off" that power line, and we'd like to avoid using a second mosfet on that bus (which would add additional voltage drop, cost, space, and so on...)

Regards

Bruno
