TLC6C5712-Q1: PWM fault always present,fault value readed is 0x3F

Hi,

I'm using chip TLC6C5712-Q1 and Im having this issue with the PWM inputs, always getting a fault reported by ERR PIN coming from ANY_PWM_ERROR register. when i read the FAULT REGISTER i get the value 0x3F, that is; a fault is present for all PWM inputs, even if I mask some of them I still get this value and the error.

The only way to not get this fault is by masking all of the PWM inputs, already checked the signal which is at 200Hz , it is Active Low as specified in datasheet and also the duty cycle time is nowhere near the limit, same with off time.

Is there anything else that can be triggering this fault?

Jorge,

Make sure there is min 5us low level time and 40us high level time, or there will be PWM fault on the input. If you don't use the PWM input pin or you need to make a 0%/100% dutycycle on the PWM input, you can mask the PWM fault. Details you can also refer the below application note.

Hi, thanks for answering.

The PWM signal can be at 50%, with 5ms from rising edge to rising edge, so this condition you mention is not there, is there anything else i should take care of?

5ms from rising edge to rising edge, but should not be longer than 20ms(PWM detection). Except this, no other things need to be taken care of.
