Hello,

Any three pfc controllers availables? or at low wattage of 500-700 do I have to go for frond end converter? If yes, how do i go about it? I am looking for three phase PFC for SMPS?

Any reference design will be highly appreciated.

Hello Samrat,
You can use a 3 phase diode bridge rectifier and a part from the UC2854 family of pfc controllers on the DC side of the bridge.
This has been used in several multi kilo Watt pfc converters for many years. TI has not published a reference design for this application.

hello Jhon,
UC2854 is single phase pfc controller. how can I extend it to three phase? by using three modules?
please elaborate.

Hello Samrat,
The three phases are rectified in a six diode rectifier.
Then a single UC2854 is sued to control this rectified high voltage.
It is possible to achieve a high power factor with this approach.
