BQ24250: Sleep Mode

Team,

In terms of system operation, is there any difference between sleep mode and Vin<VUVLO? From the datasheet, it appears these are the same in the sense that battery FET is turned ON and PWM converter is turned OFF.

I see the safety timer behavior is different, but are there any other notable differences?

Hey Phil,

The sleep state if different in that communication is active (i.e. I2C still works).

In the description for Sleep Mode, it states that VIN does need to be below VBAT+VSLEEP but also VIN > VUVLO.

Again, this really just turns off the BATFET and the converter.
