Hi TI engineer,

We are currently debugging BQ27421-G1D, because version problems cannot be recognized automatically.

So, please help to provide the file  0421_1_09_30.bqz.  Thanks.

    Hi Hardy,

    Unfortunately, you are using a device with an older firmware and i am not sure how you got that device. The officially released version is 0421.1.09.31 and that is what the existing bqz works for. Try this older bqEVSW and see if that works for you

    This BQ27421-G1D device is a free sample of my application on the TI website. The version that the software detects automatically is 0421_1_09_30, So I want to find file 0421_1_09_30.bqz. Thanks.

    Hi Hardy,
    There currently isn't a bqz for that firmware version, that is why i shared bqEVSW for you to try. I have contacted the fw developers to see if they could release one, but I am not optimistic i would get a positive response. If i do I would let you know but i will try to push for this

    Hi Onyx,

    What is the difference between the two versions?
    If I'm debugging the old version now, but bulk sourcing will be the new version, whether it will have an impact? And the sample was applied from the TI store. Thanks.

    Hi Hardy,
    Unfortunately, I don't know and i don't see any documentation on the older firmware in our repository, so i am checking with our firmware developers. They are currently looking into this given that this device is older and was originally made to work with bqEVSW. I hope to get some answers today but check back tomorrow if you don't get anything from me today.

    Hi Hardy,

    The feedback at this point is that you should manually select the v31 when bqstudio starts and it should work fine. Can you extract a gmfs and send over so that i can see what differences exist between the v30 and the 31 to be absolutely sure it would work ok?

    Hi Onyx,

    There are many unexplained phenomena when use BQ27421-G1D, the test could not go on. There's no problem when i use BQ27421-G1A.
    We are coordinating with TI local FAE. I will contact you if I have any questions.
