BQ24650: BQ24650 RESET when Battery connected

Hi,

I have developed BQ24650 Charger to charge Lithium IOn Batteries. I am getting following issues.

1. I Set the VMPPSET and Ouput Voltage by adjusting the POT. After Connecting Battery Output voltage goes to 0.7V. What is the issue.

2. The output voltage varies lot. I mean I can see lot of Noise. I am working with DC power supply. I did not even connect it to Solar panel. What could be the reason. I have made 2 Layer design. Actually EVM have 4 layer design.

    Can you please send a clear capture of the schematic? I cannot read the labels excep VIN, VREF,VCCA and CE. All other labels are showing up as lines. Please also show the scope capture of the issue.
    Do you have the EVM? We highly recommend to test your set up on the EVM as well. You can also compare the schematic with the EVM reference schematic in the user guide.

    Hi,

    Please find the attachment for the complete design.

    I have used your EVM. I can set MPPT voltage as 18.2V. Vbat 16.8V. When I connect Battery Automatically VBat goes to 0V. I have designed as per the EVM only. After Power reset, if there is no Battery connected then VBAT come up as 16.8V.

    Do you have the scope capture on the issue? What is the voltage on status pins? There might be voltage spike or current spike when you hot plugging the battery which triggers the protection functions of the IC.
