BQ25895M: is it impossible to charge the battery and boost at the same time

According to the description at Page 4 of the datasheet of BQ25895, the boost mode is activated when no input at VBUS. So is it impossible to charge the battery and boost at the same time?

    Wenle,

    The IC can charge or boost not both at the same time.  VBUS is connected to PMID through a FET so, when charging, the V(PMID) ~= PMID.  When boosting, the FET turns off and the boost output is present on PMID.
