BQ34Z100-G1: BQ34z100-g1. Powered up sealed

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

Hi,

I am using the BQ34z100-g1 with LiFePO4 battery.

I am seeing one thing I never seen before. When the BQ34z100-g1 power up after a loss of power supply it always start sealed (although it were unsealed when power down).

I have been working with thsi device for weeks and never seen it before.

1. Why is this happening?

2. Is there any way to do the device to start in the same mode it was before power down?

Than you very much,

  • Hi Gorka
You may have sent the seal command to the gauge at some point. Once the device is sealed at some point, it can never return to a permanently unsealed state. You have to program an srec that has never been sealed on the device. You can copy data flash parameters from your device to the device with the fresh srec to get the device in a state where it doesn't go into sealed mode. I hope that makes sense.
    thanks
    Onyx
