WEBENCH® Tools/TPS51225C: Please add CSD17578Q3A for webench simulation (to replace CSD17551Q3A)

Hi,

I ran webench for TPS51225C (default settings) and the recommended 5V and 3.3V outputs high side mosfet is CSD17551Q3A. However, this part is NRND and the recommended is CSD17578Q3A which is not an option inside alternate component selection.

Beside this, on the 2nd output (3.3V), it is mentioned that "No alternative Dual FET parts available". This is an error message.

Can someone help on this?

Hi Gim,

What performance do you want to check?

I think if you just check transient/ripple, loop, CSD17551Q3A should also also be ok for simulation.

Hi Gim, Based on the parameter of these two FETs, actually I think the efficiency should be almost same, such as the Qg/Rdson..are almost same. Of course, if you would like to get more accuracy data, suggest you to apply EVM and FETs from TI.com to check by testing.
