SM72445: Charge battery and supply to the load

I intend using SM72445 and SM72295 to MPPT from solar panel for both function supply to the load and charge battery (Function as laptop battery). The question:

1. Is it possible or good use?

2. Now I wonder is it better to use dedicated charger IC or using software to make charger profile.

3. Do we need to sense load current to set total current at MPPT?

Could you share your operating conditions: power level, solar panel voltage range, and battery conditions?

Power level from 100W to 350W solar, battery lead acid or lithium 100Ah 24V, maximum voltage range is 50V. Charge current up to 10A, load 5A (not always use). Does this help you ?

Hello Youhao Xi,

With the differience in current limit circuit. Which is better in AN-2121 and AN-2122?

one is connect to AIVOUT and one is connect to PM. It make me confusing!
