Dear all,

I have to chose one Boost topology battery charging and monitor IC for LI-ion Smart (3S2P) battery.  I need to provide the fast charge current of >3A to the battery.

I have found the BQ25700a IC wlll meet my requirement. But In the Datasheet of the chip, Stand alone function is not mentioned.

My query is "Whether the IC requires micro controller for charging the smart battery in shutdown mode? or chip and Smart Battery set is enough for charging the battery? "

    bq25700A is a slave charger which needs a micro controller for charging the smart battery.

    bq25700A can automatically wakes up a deeply discharged battery. Please check the auto-wakeup function and clarify the "smart battery in shutdown mode".
