BQ78350-R1: Manual Unseal the bq78350_r1 by using advanced communication

Part Number: BQ78350-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ78350, BQSTUDIO, BQ76930

Dear Ti Team,

I have been working with the bq78350_r1 & bqStudio.

OVC (over voltage charge) and OCD (over current discharge) tests are passed on my battery pack. Battery pack OCD set value is 4A. After the test, the battery pack unable to to discharge any current may be DSG MOSFET  turned OFF. I tried using advanced communication to clear the SYS_STAT register (bq76930; pg no: 28). I tried to recover the chip set to normal operation. Unfortunately chipset entered in to seal mode operation. I have tried to unseal the device by using quick commands and advanced communication.

I was not successful with the quick commands.

Below snap shot took during advanced communication, I want to retrieve chip set operation to be normal.

 ttached,

  • Hi Venu,
The command window on the right hand of the screen has the full access and unseal buttons. Click on those to put the device in unseal and then full access mode. Don't use the advanced comm command. It is difficult to unseal in that using that.
    thanks
