BQ34Z100-G1: Problem with BQStudio and EV2300

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, , BQ34Z100

Hi team,

a customer of mine has a problem when he tries to connect the BQ34Z100-G1 with BQStudio and EV2300.

- BQStudio 1.3.76

- EV2300 module 3.1.c

- Windows 7 Pro

The first issue is the compatibility between device and application (see picture below) :

He can press on OK and to have the bqstudio interface. After that, if he supply (by a voltage) the BQ, then bqstudio recognize the BQ (the I2C connection become OK).
Therefore he thinks I can shunt the first step (above picture) but when I want to calibrate the BQ (calibration menu), the I2C connection is stopped and the device picture (on the left side of the screen) become frozen.

He thinks that there are some calibration issues or maybe some problems with the calibration procedure.

Moreover he is seeing that the home page is not the same that this one on the application note :
his bqstudio page :

application note bqstudio page :

the status bits are not the same between reference BQ and his BQ.

He has some troubles when he wants to calibrate the device.
he can not obtain this screen :

Could a hardware issue be a hypothesis? Do you have a good schematic for this BQ ?

Any other idea to fix this issue?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards,

Massimiliano.
